Man Accuses Tata Cliq of Sending Slippers Rather Than Shoes Worth Rs. 23K and Files Complaint About No Refund

Every shopper’s worst fear is getting a completely different goods when they order a high-end item online. After a man’s long wait for his shoes from Tata Cliq Luxury was ruined by a botched delivery and the company’s unwillingness to give him his money back, the unhappiness was obvious.

Everything started with a ‘X’ user named @Ace_Of_Pace, who supposedly placed an order for ‘New Balance 9060 Grey & Blue Sneakers’ from Tata Cliq Luxury for Rs. 22,999. Unfortunately, instead of the fashionable sneakers he had ordered, a pair of plain slippers showed up at his door. He hoped for a quick exchange and registered a complaint, fuming with annoyance. But his dreams were crushed when, according to the email snapshot the OP posted, Tata Cliq Luxury refused to reimburse him because of quality standards.

There was also a picture of the product he had ordered next to the one he got. Customers have had their money stolen by Tata Cliq Luxury. Please don’t fall victim to the same fraud that cost me my money. I purchased New Balance shoes, they got a pair of slippers, now refuse to return money stating quality check failed,” lamented the OP in the caption of his now-viral post.

As news spread, the internet community joined in with their own thoughts. “How is a return item going to fulfill their quality requirements? Isn’t that the entire idea of return?” queried one puzzled observer, prompting a response from the OP: “They went on to further say that the proper merchandise was sent to me, ergo they can’t process a refund. It’s simpler to lay blame with the consumers than bring in quality checks by delivery partner to guarantee proper goods was delivered in excellent condition.”

“Frauds like this are getting very common because the companies have third party vendors to fulfill shipments and the scam is transpired at their end. The best answer to this issue is recording the unpacking of your merchandise and subsequently take stern action against the company,” asserted another. “Lesson learnt.
